It is collected in the salt marshes of Trapani in Sicily on the eastern coast. It has the particularity of being hand harvest of the east wind facing Italy. The influence of the stronger wind gives this sea salt flakes a slightly more full-bodied aroma than the classic Sicilian sea salt flakes.
